Dunia Yetu is taking part in the ArtsFest 2008.
Dunia Yetu is back with "A hot & spicy taste of Africa".

We will be presenting a lively story-telling show, which will include drumming, miming and acting.  
Do not miss this explosive and electrifying workshop which will take place on
Saturday 13th September, at: BBC Public Space, 2-2.30pm &
Multi Activity Space Marquee, Central Square Brindley place, 5.15-6pm


In His Shadow II (COMING SOON!)

Dunia yetu is currently developing “In His Shadow, Part II”.  The second piece will explore the life and experiences (including the dilemmas produced by the meeting of the two cultures) of the young Kanakiki as he arrives to England to study medicine.  The piece will include elements of dance, music, poetry and story telling.

Theatre at Your Doorstep.

Dunia Yetu is currently creating drama-based production and activities that are being performed in schools around the UK. This option is for organisations such as school where the cost of may raise concern about time management, transportation cost and insurance may be of significant concern.


Theatre at the Venue of Your Choice.

Our productions can be performed at venues of your choice (need mutual agreement with Dunia Yetu).


WHAT WE HAVE DONE BEFORE

In His Shadow,  Collide Festival of on 25 October 2007

Dunia Yetu has prepared a theatre/drama-based performance entitled in His Shadow,  which was showcased at the Collide Festival of on 25 October 2007 at The Drum’s venue. The piece explored aspects of African culture whilst telling the story of a young man who has been sponsored by members of the village to go to England and study medicine. The story explored life in the village, the circumstances leading to his departure and then of arriving in the UK and the dilemmas produced by the meeting of two cultures. The piece included elements of music, dance and storytelling.
